Not even a broken toe will stop Will Chambers from playing his part in Australia's charge for a second consecutive World Cup title.

Chambers who has been named to start in the centres for Friday night's semi-final showdown with Fiji, has been battling injury all tournament according to coach Mal Meninga.

"He's had a broken toe for a couple of weeks now so we have just rested him," coach Mal Meninga said.

"He did some extra fitness in the gym and we have no doubts that he will play, as he did last week."

Chambers has only missed one game during the World Cup, Australia's 34-point win over Lebanon two weeks ago.
