The Bulldogs are set to confirm that Dean Pay will be the club's head coach after the sacking of Des Hasler earlier this month.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the Bulldogs interviewed Pay and assistant coach Jim Dymock for the head coaching role on Tuesday.
The board decided to go with Pay, who played 108 first grade games for the club.
It is understood that Des Hasler is now looking to pursue legal action regarding the terms of his dismissal.
According to Danny Weidler, the official announcement will come through tomorrow.
