The North Queensland Cowboys face a nervous wait as three of their stars could be missing for next week's Grand Final Qualifier against the Sydney Roosters.

Jason Taumalolo could miss the match against the Roosters, if he is picked up by the match review committee for a shoulder charge on the Eels' Nathan Brown.

If found to be guilty, Taumalolo will more than likely be ruled out after already being suspended for a shoulder charge during the season.

Queensland Origin utility Coen Hess, is awaiting scans to determine the extent of his knee injury after landing awkwardly on his right knee, which saw Hess fail to finish the game last night.

Meanwhile, John Asiata is a week-to-week prospect after breaking his hand in last week's Elimination Final win over the Cronulla Sharks.
