Cowboys' Selection Shock For Clash With The Roosters

Ahead of their preliminary final clash with the Roosters on Saturday, the Cowboys have named a shock inclusion in their side that no one saw coming.

Matt Scott was ruled out earlier this year after sustaining an ACL injury in round two against the Broncos.

However, the Cowboys have named him in their extended team list, with team doctors giving Scott the all-clear to play.

"At this stage they said there's a risk but it would be a calculated risk," coach Paul Green said.

"He's worked really hard through the year since his injury to put himself in the frame."
