Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read has all but confirmed both the Dally M and Rugby League World Cup will go ahead as planned despite reports of a potential players strike. 

There were reports earlier this year, key and influential big name NRL players were going to boycott these events, due to the ongoing pay dispute between the players and the game's hierarchy. 

However Ready, has confirmed an announcement should be imminent confirming both events will go ahead as scheduled. 

"This has been an ongoing saga, the Dally M and and the World Cup," Ready said. FULL AUDIO BELOW

"There has been talks this week between the NRL and RLPA.

"There will be a confirmation within the next 24 hours the Dally M and Rugby League World Cup will go ahead"

"They will not be interrupted by union talks." 

Ready also confirmed within the next few weeks the pay dispute will also finally be put to bed. 

"We will finally put to bed the pay talks, they'll get a deal done and the brouhaha will be over, it's dragged on long enough," Ready said.

"They reached a point where they were all happy."
