Darcy Lussick could be gone from Manly by the end of the week, says The Daily Telegraph's Dean Ritchie.

Bulldog joined The Rush Hour with MG on Tuesday to break down the Sea Eagle's salary cap scandal and mentioned that Lussick's exit could actually be a good thing in the long run.

"Darcy Lussick may leave the club as early as this week to go to the English Super League, which would be great news for the club in that it may then free up some money for Trent Barrett to have a crack at a player this year," Ritchie said.

"Obviously that $330,000 deduction in the cap for this year and next year hampers Barrett's chances of getting a player.

"If Lussick walks then suddenly the light on the door goes green."
