Gold Coast coach Neil Henry will front media today amid speculation he is facing the sack from the NRL club.
Henry will hold his regular weekly media conference but will face questions about his position after the board met on Monday to discuss his troubled relationship with highly-paid star Jarryd Hayne.
It appears unlikely both Henry and Hayne can remain at the club beyond this season.
Triple M’s Matty Johns believes the troubled club should bring in a young coach.
“I’ve had a wrap on a [Panthers NSW Cup coach] Garth Brennan for a long time,” said Johns, on Triple M Grill Team.
“He’s been coaching lower grades at Penrith… and has won competition, after competition, after competition.
“He’s very much in that Trent Robinson, Michael Maguire mould.” Listen to the full audio below.
