David Klemmer Reveals That Realising NRL "Is A Business" Helped His Decision To Leave The Bulldogs

David Klemmer has admitted that it was realising that NRL "is a business now" to help him make a decision to leave the Bulldogs.

The star prop, who yesterday inked a five-year deal with the Knights, fronted the media at a press conference earlier this morning to explain his move north.

Klemmer said that it was a "bit of relief" to have finally come to an agreement, before explaining why - and when - he started considering leaving Canterbury.

"It's got an awesome legacy here," he said. "I've got a lot to live up to.

"I just want to get into training, earn the respect of the boys. Get around, introduce myself."

Klemmer also revealed that the Knights' "pretty special" roster was a key factor in his decision to join the team, telling reporters that he was "nervous and excited".
