David Middleton, who is the statistician from Channel Nine, has given us some crazy stats about how big a beast Origin is.
The legendary stats man revealed the Origin stars that are working the hardest and travelling the greatest distance in a game.
Fans think it’s the fullbacks and wingers that run the most, but they are wrong.
“Nathan Peats, in his first two Origin games combined he’s run for 16.4 kilometres - 8.2 in Game One and 8.2 in Game Two,” Middleton told Triple M’s Emma Freedman and Ryan Girdler.
“Cooper Cronk, James Maloney and Cameron Smith were right up there as well.”
When you think it was Nathan Peats’ first Origin series, it’s a pretty impressive stat.
“He topped 50 tackles in both games as well,” he said. Listen to the full audio below.
