Newly appointed Bulldogs coach Dean Pay is set to make a monumental shift, with Moses Mbye to be moved to fullback for the 2018 season.

According to nrl.com, Mbye has been told he will have first crack at the number one jersey after a string of dismal performances since signing a lucrative deal in 2016.

This change will more than likely see Will Hopoate move to the centres.

Pay is attempting to transform a lacklustre attacking structure that failed to make the finals this season under Des Hasler.

With Mbye shifted to fullback, Kieran Foran in the number six and Michael Lichaa to take on dummy-half duties, Pay now just needs a halfback to complete his spine for 2018.
