Disgraced Former Wests Tiger Planning To Step Into The Boxing Ring

Disgraced former Wests Tigers NRL player Tim Simona is considering a short-term career switch, to boxing. 

"I’m keen to have a fight," Simona told News Corp. 

"I’ve got a great trainer and I’m really enjoying boxing."

Simona, who is currently banned from the NRL, is exploring opportunities in both league and union, in Europe. 

His manager, Sam Ayoub also told News Corp he is hopeful of getting Simona a gig in the English Super League.

“Everyone has a f … up or two in their lives,” Ayoub said.

“So I want to help him. He’s working with a number of charities and trying to make up for what he did.”
