There are rumours circulating that Canterbury captain James Graham could be on the move at season's end.

Triple M's James Hooper understands St. George-Illawarra could swoop and claim the services of the Bulldogs star.

“A bloke who works in rugby league rang me last night, he normally gets good information,” Hooper said, on Sunday Triple M NRL.

“And he said ‘Mate, you might want to check this one out, I have heard that James Graham has signed with the Dragons’".

Although at this stage it is just a rumour, but Hooper gives some insight to why this might come to fruition.

“He hasn’t signed; we need to stipulate that," he said.

“However, we do know that the Bulldogs are currently in the midst of a fire sale they were trying to off load a number of players.

“Their captain James Graham is the best paid player at the club, (and) will be their best paid player at the club next season.

“I think his contact, if the salary cap hits $9.4m, its gonna  be worth $1.1m or something like that next year.

Jimmy said St. George-Illawarra is an ideal suitor for Graham.

“To cut to the chase, the Dragons are keen," he said.

“He would fit into their club perfectly, he plays for the Poms with Gareth Widdop they both represent England together, they’re mates.

Ian Millward, who does the recruitment and a great job of it for the Dragons, he worked at St Helen's and James played under him.

“Its not done yet, but the way that it is tracking, I think that it will really start to develop over the course of the next week."
