The Wests Tigers currently sorting out their coaching dramas, with a new head honcho set to take the reins sooner rather than later.

Heading into round four, assistant coach Andrew Webster is serving as the interim solution, but word is that the club is looking to get the new head coach in as soon as possible.

"The biggest story of the week has been the basket-case that is the Tigers," Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper said.

"The Tigers are going through the process of appointing a new head coach and I think that will happen next week.

"It will be Ivan Cleary.

"At the moment it's still wrapped in red tape ...  but  I think you can take it to the bank that Ivan Cleary will be the next Wests Tigers coach.

"He'll go in straight away - whether he can be there in time for next Sunday's match against St George Illawarra, I'm not entirely sure.

"I think it will be a three year deal, and the club will be looking to insert something like a two-year option in their favour so that if everything is going well, they can have some stability."
