Parramatta playmaker Corey Norman has received the all clear to return to NRL action against Cronulla and possibly a match-up against good mate James Segeyaro.

After missing last week's loss to the Gold Coast, Norman has trained with the Eels squad all week and coach Brad Arthur said he was a certainty to take on the premiers at ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

"It was touch-and-go last week with the tight turnaround," Arthur said.

"Maybe if we played on the Sunday because he trained on the Monday.

"He's definitely playing, he's trained all week with us."

In another boost for the Eels, they have avoided a possible dummy-half crisis with Kaysa Pritchard cleared of an ankle problem.

The match could pit Norman against his former housemate Segeyaro, who this week signed with the Sharks after securing a release from English club Leeds.

Segeyaro is unlikely to play in first-grade having not played for six months but has been named in Shane Flanagan's 21-man squad.

Norman and Segeyaro have a chequered history together and last year the pair were warned by police under consorting laws after they were pictured dining with known criminals.

Eels No.7 Norman was subsequently suspended for eight weeks for a string of offences, including his involvement in a sex tape scandal that featured Segeyaro.

After Seegeyaro walked out on his contract with Leeds, Norman attempted to recruit his good mate to the Eels with the No.9 meeting with club officials.

"I'm sure if he plays then we'll have to watch him, especially around that marker area, he's pretty good out of dummy half," Arthur said of Segeyaro.

Arthur said his group were driven to bounce back after a humbling 26-14 loss to the Titans last week in which they were run down after leading 12-0 midway through the first half.

"They were very disappointed, which is a good sign," Arthur saidof his players.

"When we came back to training on our first day back they were very sheepish; a bit flat with their energy, which is a good thing.

"I don't want them bouncing in after a disappointing performance and a lost opportunity."
