Expect A Contract Decision From James Roberts Tomorrow...

He managed to score two ripper tries for the Broncos this evening, and given his current contract situation, this could be exactly the bargaining chip James Roberts needs.

According to Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read, "Jimmy the Jet" is very close to locking up his future. Listen to the full report below.

"They've given him until after the game," Ready said.

"Brisbane will potentially have a decision on whether Jimmy Roberts stays at the Broncos next year.

"They're pretty confident that he'll stay but if the deal's not right, I've been told by his advisor that Jimmy will go on the market and see what's out there for him.

"I think the issue is that they view Jimmy as a player who has had some problems in the past. And they've done the right thing by him, and stood by him when he had some issues earlier this year.

"There's a limit to which Brisbane will go to, and they won't blow it for James Roberts because I think they think that they've done the right thing by James and want some reciprocation."

Roberts is apparently attracting a lot of interest, with five clubs reportedly keeping an eye on him.

According to the Courier Mail, Roberts is on a $300,000/year deal, but is looking to up his asking price.

"I think with James Roberts, he knows he could go somewhere and ask for more money - and if he stays, good luck to him and if he leaves, good luck to him," Triple M's Wendell Sailor said.

"He could cash in and go somewhere else, but with his personality, does he want to be going back into Sydney?"
