We're celebrating Retro Round this week- a call-back to the golden era of the 80s in rugby league.

Here are five things we miss the most from that period.

1. Kicking duels

How good is this - fullbacks belting the ball from end-to-end. Check out these duels between legends Chris Mortimer, Brian Johnson, Graeme Wynn, Steve Gearin from the 1983 semi final between the Bulldogs and St George.

2. The Parramatta Wall

As if watching Sterlo run around isn't enough, seeing the Eels execute such an iconic move epitomises the entertainment value of the 80s - even when the play didn't come off as planned.

3. Tina Turner

Check out this promo from 1989. There are a few familiar faces, such as Cliffy Lyons, Steve Roach, Brett Kenny and Noel Cleal.

4. Mullets

The mullet made a return earlier this year courtesy of Roosters rookie Lindsay Collins. We'd like to see more of a comeback.

The only downside is the potential hair-pulling situation (see below).

5. The toe poke
