After two tryouts and plenty of bumps, it's being reported former NRL player Daniel Vidot has officially signed a two-year contract with the WWE.

The 28-year-old former Raider, Dragon, Bronco and Titans winger initially trialed with the world's biggest Wrestling organisation in 2016 but wanted to continue his NRL career at the time.

However, interest peaked once again from the WWE and now according to Ringside News, Vidot will sign a two-year deal with the company's developmental system NXT.

While WWE hasn't officially announced the signing, it's believed it could take place when WWE brings a special PPV event to Melbourne's MCG in October.

Vidot will join current Aussie wrestlers Buddy Murphy, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce on the WWE's roster but will become the first NRL player to switch careers to professional wrestling.
