The Gold Coast Titans have announced the signing of former Knights utility Brendan Elliot on a one-year deal.

The Gold Coast native will return home after stints with the Knights and Roosters, since debuting in 2014 and is looking to cement a regular first-grade spot after featuring sporadically for the Knights last season.

“That’s definitely part of the reason (to come to the Titans). It’s a really good opportunity and I’ll be looking to get some more minutes in the NRL.

“It’s good to have that versatility (across positions) but I would love to be able to lock down one spot.

I don’t really have a preference, I’d just like to string a number of games together in the one position if I can."

Elliot will join the coach-less Titans when the squad returns for pre-season in November.
