Returning Rabbitohs captain Greg Inglis is set to revert back to the centres for the 2018 NRL season.

Since joining the Rabbitohs in 2011, Inglis has been a revelation at fullback becoming one of the most dominant to ever take up the position.

However, The Daily Telegraph are reporting, coach Anthony Seibold is set to shake up the Rabbitohs starting 13 after a disastrous 2017 season.

Inglis has been training in the centre position during the summer pre-season, with Alex Johnston taking up the fullback role which he played for most of 2017 after Inglis ruptured his ACL in the opening round of the season.

The Rabbitohs open their season against the Warriors at the new Optus Stadium in Perth on Saturday March 10.
