With another series down the drain, NSW already seem to be on the lookout for the next Blues coach.

Laurie Daley has been at the helm for the last five years with one series win to his name, and he's been cryptic about whether he'll hand over the top job at the end of this series.

Speaking on Channel Nine's Origin coverage, Andrew Johns has possibly thrown his name into contention for some coaching role, with the former NSW star considering the role.

When asked by Paul "Fatty" Vautin whether he'd coach NSW, Joey seemed unsure - but it definitely wasn't a flat-out 'no'.

"I don't know," Joey said.

"You asked me that on the Footy Show and said no.

"I don't know, I can't answer that.
