What an incredible game of footy, witnessed at McDonalds Jones Stadium as the Newcastle Knights defeated the Sea Eagles 19-18 in a Golden Point thriller. 

In front of 23,516 fans, the biggest crowd ever recorded for the 6pm Friday night kick-off, it was Mitchell Pearce who held his nerve to slot the match winning field goal deep into the second-half of Golden Point.
