Nathan Hindmarsh has apologised to Parramatta’s Danny Wicks for an "inappropriate" question asked during a post-match interview after the Eels 20-18 win over Newcastle last night.

In an interview after the game, the former Eels legend asked Wicks: “Bit of a game plan tonight about offloading the pill but you got caught a few times in possession.”

It seems like it was all a bit of footy speak and Danny Wicks took it in his stride. But it’s understood he made a complaint to his manager who then followed it up with Fox Sports. Watch the video below.

“I just said to them I thought it was inappropriate,” Danny Wicks' manager, Steve Gillis said.

Hindmarsh apologised for the remark.

“I actually admire Danny Wicks for the way he has come back from difficult times,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

“I crossed the line and that’s why I rang him straight away.”
