A Triple M listener has alerted us to an issue that has left rugby league fans filthy.
Penrith fan, Brett bought a ticket to the Panthers vs Sea Eagles game on the weekend and as you can see the ticket was promoting the AFL Grand Final.
Brett told Triple M the NRL may need to answer a few questions regarding this.
“Not a good look for a game that's currently facing increased competition and the players at war with management," he told Triple M.
“I feel for clubs like Penrith that are doing their best to promote the game and get blindsided by stealth marketing like this.
“The only plus out of [what] we saw was that the AFL we're promoting 2016 G.F oops to them.
“I gave [Panthers legend] Royce Simmons the ticket after bumping into him having a beer after the game at the club. Told him to make sure [Panthers boss] Gus [Gould] sees it,”.
