Speaking on Triple M's Dead Set Legends, Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read has said that the Bulldogs are in a very delicate situation with their salary cap situation, and not just because of the cap figure.

The player market is also turning against the Bulldogs, with the decision of one player in particular threatening to derail the Bulldogs' plans to get under the cap.

"Expect a decision on Adam Blair in the next week or two on what he'll do next year," Ready said.

"There are ramifications for Canterbury because two of the clubs chasing him are Newcastle and St George Illawarra, and there's speculation that Parramatta might be interested as well.

"Now, they're potentially clubs who may have a go at James Graham if he becomes available.

"I'm sure Canterbury is watching what happens with Adam Blair very closely because his decision may impact on how easily they can shed a player like James Graham."

Ready also confirmed that with the salary cap around the $9.4 million mark, the Bulldogs would have to get rid of at least one player.
