The impending coaching swap between Wayne Bennett and Anthony Seibold should be of concern in number of ways to Brisbane Broncos fans and club officials, according to Paul Gallen.

Speaking on Wide World of Sports' Sports Sunday program, the Sharks captain weighed-in on the drama surrounding the Broncos and Rabbitohs.

Reports have suggest Anthony Seibold has lost the Rabbitohs dressing room, while at the Broncos players don't want Bennett to leave the club.

This is a massive concern according to the former NSW Blues captain.

"All the players up there seem to love him (Bennett)," Gallen said.

"They have one of the most youngest and powerful squads in the game.

"If they all love Wayne Bennett, as much as they say they do, and he is off contract heading to Souths in 2020, I'd be extremely concerned if I'm a Brisbane fan that he is going to take some of their best players."

Despite both coaches affirming the swap will happen in 2020, there are mounting reports it will come a year earlier with Triple M's Ben Dobbin providing an update on the situation.
