"If he did drop the ball, he's a great poker player and I wouldn't want to play poker with him," DCE said.
"He got up smiling and cheering as if he'd scored.
"I think it's fantastic that the refs are willing to make those decisions on the spot.
"This particular decision might come under a bit of scrutiny because it may have been the wrong call, but at the end of the day if we continue to let the refs make these calls whether it's right or wrong, it will then be a bit easier on them.
"They're in a tough decision, but if they continue to make those calls, whether they're right or wrong, and we continue to support them to do that, I think that's best for the game.
"We don't want to see all those stoppages with the video ref."
