Mitchell Pearce and Jake Friend's manager, Steve Gillis, has insisted both of his clients will be staying at the Roosters.

This is despite talks one of the two may need to be moved on to accommodate the club signing Cooper Cronk

Gills told the dailytelegrpah.com.au, both players will stay with the Bondi club.

"I think everyone will stay," Gillis said.

"They've got room in the cap because they've lost some good players."

Despite reports Friend has been told he we be moved on to make way for Cronk, his manager says its quite the opposite situation.

"We are in the middle of negotiating to extend Jake's contract rather than him not being there," Gillis said.

It has been reported the NRL have informed the Roosters they need to shed at least $400,000 from their cap in order to sign the former Storm playmaker.
