With stints at Souths, Penrith, the Titans and the Broncos under his belt, there was a lot of talk that James Roberts could become a five-club man.

However, as predicted by Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read on Thursday, Roberts is set to stay at the Broncos.

The Courier Mail have reported that a three-year deal is on the table, with an announcement expected next week.

It was originally speculated that Roberts may shop around and go for the big money, however it seems as though the Broncos are a good fit for Roberts, who has had several off-field issues in the past.

“He’s had a few dramas at other places off the field,” teammate Benji Marshall said.

“With the help of Wayne and guys he has around him, it keeps him pretty grounded here. You can see that happiness is reflecting on the field.

“I don’t think I’ve seen a more dynamic player off the mark than what he is. He showed out there that he is one of the hardest guys to tackle."
