It will be a nervous wait for Jarrod Wallace.

After being slapped with a shoulder charge by the judiciary for his shot on Blake Ayshford, Wallace has officially entered a not guilty plea.

He risks missing two games if his challenge is unsuccessful.

Wallace's hearing will take place on Tuesday NRL at 6pm at NRL HQ.

The incident happened in the 40th minute of the Titans v Warriors clash, with Wallace hitting Ayshford heavily while off the ball. See the video below.

Tim Glasby has been tipped as the replacement for Wallace, should he fail to win his appeal.

There had been a bit of talk that the loophole which allowed Michael Ennis to replace Robbie Farah in 2015 could have been a way to get around Wallace's charge if he accepted the one match ban.

That game saw Michael Ennis eligible to play Origin after backing up from the weekend before the game.

It's argued that Wallace could have been named for the Titans next weekend and serve his one-game suspension, thus making him eligible for Origin II.

This would mean Walters couldn't name Wallace in his side announced at 1pm today, which is where the problem arises in playing a bloke who wasn't initially named.

The NRL has since tightened its rules, so it's unlikely that this plan would've worked out anyway.

Now, Wallace's only hope is to take on the judiciary and win.
