Speaking with the Triple M call team post-match, Jarryd Hayne has denied that he has a problem with Titans coach Neil Henry, returning serve following reports during the week that Henry did not want Hayne to sign with the club.

When asked by Triple M's sideline commentator Zac Bailey whether he had a comment on the matter or had an issue with the coach, Hayne said the following:

"I don't have any issue," Hayne said.

"For me, it's about playing footy for the boys. We seemed to start the season good but then had our ups and downs.

"Personally, I just want to do it for the boys, for my mates.

"So that's what I'm focused on. If Neil's got a different opinion, then so be it."

Regarding his form, Hayne said that the scale of rugby league meant he was under increased scrutiny.

"When someone like myself goes through stages like this, everyone is going to come out and point fingers," he said.

"What I can control here is what I do and not what anyone else says about me or has an opinion about me."

Triple M's Emma Lawrence and Wendell Sailor discussed what this answer meant, saying that there is clearly a bigger issue here.

"I think from his answer, you got the impression that there is an issue, because he didn't come out and say 'no, there isn't a problem', he said 'I don't have a problem' - indicating the problem is with Neil Henry," Triple M's Emma Lawrence said.

"If they're both going to stay at the Titans, they both need to find a way to work together," Triple M's Wendell Sailor said.

"Jarryd Hayne has always been a big personality. He's got that real showman 'this is my house' thing. I think our game needs that. He's harshly criticised sometimes, I think. Origin this year probably wasn't his best ... but when you're on that sort of money, scrutiny comes with it."
