Panthers star Josh Mansour has decided to make the best of a bad situation, using his experience from that ACL injury sustained during last year's Four Nations tournament to help other players affected by the dreaded season-ending injury.
Mansour was struck down during a training session with the Kangaroos, and as a consequence missed the first 12 rounds of this season while recovering.
"I've already spoken to a couple of fellas this year," Mansour said, reports NRL.com.
"I dropped a message to Jorge Taufua earlier in the year and gave him an insight into what to expect, and I spoke to Gutho (Eels star Clint Gutherson) not that long ago to give him an insight into my journey and how I approached things before I went in for surgery.
Greg Inglis, Clint Gutherson, Christian Welch, Matt Scott and Jamal Idris are just a few players battling an ACL issue.
GI spoke recently about the loneliness of the injury, with the rehabilitation period very lengthy and isolating.
