After being spotted having several run-ins with teammates Ash Taylor and Dan Saringson during the Titans surprise win over the Sharks last weekend, talk of Jarryd Hayne's behaviour have again done the rounds, this time with former QLD player Justin Hodges getting involved.

Speaking on Fox SportsQueenslanders Only show, Hodges said that Hayne's blowups could end up tarnishing his relationship with his fellow players.

“It’s not a good look for your leader to be doing those kinds of things,” Hodges said, according to foxsports.com.au.

“Jarryd Hayne’s a great player. There’s a lot of things that come with being him.

“But the thing that stands out to me is that he blows up to the refs too often, he’s blowing up about his teammates, he’s doing this, he’s doing that.

“That can have a really negative vibe, especially on those young halves. Ash Taylor and those guys, I guarantee they look up to him and look for advice.

“You can’t get advice from someone who doesn’t want to be there for you and doesn’t look interested at all. I think that’s what Haynesy needs to change.”

This comes after several weeks of speculation regarding Hayne's training ethic and relationship with coach Neil Henry.

In addressing these rumours of dissent in the ranks, Henry said that it was a non-issue and came down to the competitiveness.

"They're always fighting for the ball, they're competitive guys and if Ash wants the ball and Jarryd wants the ball they're going to argue a little bit," Henry said.
