Despite having lost the series, Kevin Walters say's he's "excited again" about Game Three tomorrow night at Suncorp Stadium, and reckons he knows how to avoid a clean sweep.

With Triple M in attendance at today's press conference ahead of Origin 3, the QLD coach says they've had "many different things that have arrived on their desk this year" he has learnt a lot about himself as a person and a coach this series "You learn more at times when you're under pressure".

In an open and honest self-assessment of how the team has gone this year Kevy admitted to making a mistake when it came to the selection of injured players.

"You need fit players at Origin level to be competing........We like to be loyal but also we've got to be a little bit smarter about fitness levels at Origin"

Walters who has experienced his first series loss as QLD coach after back to back series wins in his first two years also spoke about how the team is approaching Game 3, building for the future, his advice for DCE and wanting to give Billy Slater the send of that he deserves.
