With Sunday marking the Bulldogs' official farewell for Josh Reynolds, opposition coach Nathan Brown has paid tribute to the occasion with some kind words about the outgoing five-eighth.

Speaking on Triple M Saturday NRL, Brown hailed Reynolds' commitment to the club.

"Somebody asked me over the weekend how I thought Josh Reynolds was going to play. And I said 'the same way he plays every single game for Canterbury'," Brown said. Listen to the full report below.

"He'll be out there and he'll compete like all hell.

"He's been a great, great competitor and when he's not there, Canterbury will then realise what they don't have. He's not what you'd call your classic five-eighth like a Darren Lockyer/Brad Fittler - type player. He's just been a great competitor."
