Konrad Hurrell In Hot Water After Knocking Out Manly Prop

Update: Warriors wrecking ball Konrad Hurrell has escaped sanction for an incident in which he appeared to knee Manly prop Jake Trbojevic in the head at the NRL Auckland Nines on Saturday.Watch the video at the bottom of the page.
Hurrell was not charged for the incident in the sides' controversial second pool match at Eden Park on Saturday and has instead been issued a "concerning act" notice by the Match Review Committee.
The Sea Eagles were left with a troubling injury toll with Trbojevic (concussion) and Jamie Buhrer (suspected broken jaw) set to take no further part in the tournament. Full story below.

Warriors Konrad Hurrell could be in a bit of trouble for lifting knees in a run, which knocked out the big Manly prop Jake Trbojevic during the Sea Eagles 15-12 upset win today. Watch the video at the bottom of the page.
Trbojevic had to be escorted from the field in a medicab when he copped a knee to the head when attempting a tackle against the hard-running Warriors player.
Trbojevic, standing in as Manly captain during the tournament, lay motionless on the turf for several minutes as he was attended to by medical staff and has reportedly suffered a concussion.
Last year Hurrell was suspended for three weeks after kneeing Cronulla back-rower Anthony Tupou and breaking his jaw in a similar incident.
After that incident Hurrell was told to change his running style.
Triple M's Paul Gallen said it didn't look intentional, but it's something he has to get out of his game.
"He could spend some time on the sideline for that, especially with it being his second charge [of lifting knees] in 12 months," said Gallen, on Triple M NRL.
"He could be looking at three to four weeks.
"He lifted his knee when he went into the tackle. You can't lift your legs like that." Watch the video below.
Asked about the incident, Manly coach Trent Barrett said: "I didn't really have a look at it, I couldn't comment, no one means to knock someone out."
