There's a lot of pressure on NSW to take out the series tonight after a decade of dominance from QLD.

And in typical rugby league fashion, there's been a busy rumour mill surrounding coach Laurie Daley's job security should NSW lose.

Daley has stoically shifted focus away from his side as they look to come out on top in one of the biggest Origin deciders in recent history.

This means that matters relating to Daley's future commitment have also been brushed aside.

However, Daley made some interesting comments when asked about whether tonight's game at Suncorp Stadium would be his last, according to smh.com.au.

"My last game? My job is to make sure I get this team ready to go and get them in a position to win. When we've done that I know we'll play well (on Wednesday) and we'll move on," Daley said.

"I'm worried about (Wednesday) night and once (Wednesday) night rolls around you may hear something. I just want to know that this team has been set up in the right way that we can have success going forward. When you do that, you know you've done your job."
