Former NRL star Luke Bailey is absolutely filthy with the NRL, having been “brushed” for an NRL ambassador’s job.

“Gotta stress my disappointment with NRL ambassador program,” Bailey said on his Facebook page.

“Somehow my application was sent late to me so my response was late so I got brushed.

“15 years in the game without a blemish and you become a number in HR apparently . Wouldn’t normally bother me but there is a whole lot of recent negatives going on in the game . Thought they would need all the help they can get . Obviously not.”

Former Warriors player Kevin Campion empathised with the star, saying: “join the queue mate”.

Luke Bailey, 37, was a tough, no-nonsense player, who always gave his all. The workhorse was one of the Titans first ‘big-name' signings when he joined the club in 2007. He retired at the end of the 2014 season.

Bailey played 269 NRL games for St George Illawarra and Gold Coast. He represented NSW on 5 occasions and played four tests for Australia.
