Luke Phillips needed 11 pain-killing needles in order to play in the 2002 Grand Final for the Roosters against the New Zealand Warriors.

The fullback played in the 2002 decider with a fracture and rotator cuff tear. 

Phillips joined Triple M NRL's Grand Final coverage to talk through the injury and the post-playing career pain he suffers from as a result of the injury.
