Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga believes if the exit rumours are true, Jarryd Hayne has really let down the Titans.

“Honestly, I think he’s let the Titans down,” Meninga said ahead of Australia's World Cup match against France.

“He hasn’t played well enough to do that.

"I think he needs to make sure that he stays at the club and plays the best he possibly can for them.

“They’re the ones who invested in him and he hasn’t invested back in the club."

Reports suggested Hayne was involved in the axing of Neil Henry, making Hayne's exit all the more bizarre according to Meninga.

“Yeah, I agree with that. I think that’s pretty ordinary what happened there," Meninga said.

"That’s just my thoughts.”
