A young Manly player is currently resting in hospital after complaining of chest pains during today's clash with the Rabbitohs at Erskineville Oval today.

SG Ball fullback Alan Tuigamala was treated by a Souths medical staff member for 15 - 20 minutes on field, being taken to Royal Prince Alfred hospital for further tests.

There were originally fears that he may have suffered a heart attack, but a statement released by seaeagles.com.au suggest that there may have been another cause for the chest pain.
