Broncos forward Matt Gillett still faces a huge uphill battle to prove his fitness for Round 1 of the 2019 season.
Gillett is recovering from a major neck injury sustained early during the 2018 season which would eventually end his season virtually before it began.
The 30-year-old also took the opportunity to fix an on-going shoulder problem.
And on Brisbane's Dead Set Legends, Triple M's Ben Dobbin has revealed Gillett needs to also gain almost 10kgs of muscle as a result of not playing or training for seven months.
