Triple M Grill Team and Penrith Panthers' die-hard fan Mark Geyer has no qualms with the referees stoping play, after Corey Oates was knocked-out in a sickening collision with teammate Anthony Milford, despite the Panthers seemingly destined to score as a result of the incident.

"I was with the refs," MG said.

"If that was the other way around and that was a Penrith player who had a collision like that, I would want the play stopped."

"That was a really bad collision - something you couldn't watch again."

The stoppage has divided the rugby league world, as the Panthers looked likely to score when play was halted.

However, MG believes the Panthers had enough time to win the game irrespective if play continued after the Oates KO.

"Maybe if it was with three minutes to go and that happened, you'd might think a bit differently," he said.

"But in the 10th minute of the game, Penrith still had a lot of time to win that game."

MG, who himself estimated to have copped 15 'serious' concussions during his career, had his say on whether Oates should play in Friday night's Grand Final Qualifier.

"Probably not," he said.

"That was the most sickening head knocks I've seen in a long time."
