Triple M's Mark 'MG' Geyer has pleaded with NRL referees to send players in the sin-bin early in games to avoid the stop-start nature of games that is currently going on in 2018.

Earlier in the week, Triple M published an article detailing how referees have blown nearly 100 more penalties this season compared to the same time last year.

The trend continued during Thursday night's Grand Final rematch between the Storm and Cowboys, where 20 penalties were blown during the game.

MG shared his thoughts on the detriment it's having on the game and also a plea to referees to send players to the bin early.
