Not letting go

The situation with Mitchell Moses at the Tigers is still a point of contention, with Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read telling the Dead Set Legends that Moses isn't content sticking around for the rest of the season.

"Mitchell Moses asked for a release again today," Ready said.

"He clearly wants to go."

Moses has already inked a deal with the Eels for 2017, but his management has made numerous requests for him to be released this season to link up with the club.

"The perception is - at least externally - that Ivan Cleary said that if you're not on the bus, you're off the bus," Ready said.

"And Mitchell Moses has now asked for a release three, four times.

"So the sense that gives is that he's not necessarily on the bus, although you wouldn't know it from the way he's playing."

Ready also said that the Eels have not offered anything in return to the Tigers for the early release of Moses, which could arguably be the cause of the hold-up.
