Premiership winning halfback Mitchell Pearce is poised to leave the club amid speculation Cooper Cronk is set to join the Roosters.

According to the dailytelegrpah.com.au, Pearce is angry with the club's pursuit of Cronk and feels let down by the entire situation.

A close friend told the Daily Telegraph, Pearce feels betrayed by the club.

"He's very upset," said a close associate of Pearce.

He loves the Rossters and always wanted to be a one-club player.

"Yet he feels that, for everything the club has done for, he deserves better for a player who has been there 10 years and played nearly 240-games."

It has been reported the Sea Eagles are ready to move Blake Green to the Warriors to accommodate Pearce on the Northern Beaches.

Knights coach Nathan Brown also said the Knights would be interested if Pearce was to become available.
