Following more talk that Anthony Mundine is looking to mount an NRL comeback, Triple M's Wendell Sailor and Ryan Girdler have discussed his chances of making it in the modern game. Listen to the full report below.

"I just reckon he needs to get on a flight, go up to Townsville, stand in front of Jason Taumalolo in a training session, try to tackle him a few times and then just put his head down and say 'I'm done'," Girds said.

"Because not only has he changed, but the game and the athletes in it have changed since he retired."

The 41-year-old gave away rugby league nearly 20 years ago to pursue his boxing career.

"I saw Choc Mundine last week at that 1997 Dragons reunion," Dell said.

"I don't know what he's thinking. Maybe (Auckland) Nines, but even then...

"I love Choc, he's one of the best athletes that I've played with and against, but when Father Time catches up with you, it catches up with you."
