Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary is fully focused ONLY on playing well for the Panthers amid speculation he could make his Origin debut for NSW in this year's series.

Speaking to NRL.com, Cleary even went as far to say he doesn't believe he has earned the right to think about selection for the Blues.

"I'm not really too focused on Origin at all at the moment," Cleary said.

"It's not even really in my head, I just want to get out there and play for Penrith and hopefully win some footy games.

"I definitely don't think I've earned the right to think (about selection) at the moment.

"To be able to play for the Blues, obviously the highest honour in footy I think, but just depends on how the start of the year goes."

Cleary was part of the 38-man Emerging Blues squad that assembled for a one-day camp this past weekend.
