Penrith young gun Nathan Cleary has broken a 43-year old NRL record.

He becomes the youngest player to score 200 points in a season.

The record was previously held by Manly great Graham Eadie, who was 20 when he claimed the record in 1974.

Born in November 1997, Cleary is currently 19.

Cleary broke the record this afternoon as the Panthers defeated Canberra 26-22.

Impressive effort.
