Despite all the bad press, the City Country clash tomorrow is sure to be a last-ditch chance for some talent to prove their case to Blues coach Laurie Daley.

Speaking on Triple M Saturday NRL, Triple M's Ryan Girdler reckoned there were plenty of players in contention. Listen to the full report below.

“You’d have to say that Paul Vaughan, given that Aaron Woods, where not sure where he’s going to be at the moment in relation to Origin 1. Paul Vaughan’s form has been great for the Dragons and he might be in the conversation," Triple M's Ryan Girdler said.

“As will Jack De Belin, he could certainly step up and perform at that next level. He’s been on the cusp now, he’s been in some of the feeder groups that transition into State of Origin and I don’t think he’s too far away.

“Obviously Matt Moylan’s been in Origin before. If he plays well he’s certainly going to be there about depending on what they do with the halves.

“Then you’d have to say Cam McInnes. I mean if he plays well with the 9 (position) so far looks like it’s really up in the air between obviously [NathanPeats and [PeterWallace, a great showing by [CameronMcInnes you’d say Laurie (Daley) would have to sit up and take notice.”

"I can't see how he could pick Robbie Farah at the moment," Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper said.

"At the moment, it's got to be Peter Wallace, Nathan Peats or Cam McInnes."
