It's been reported in Saturday's Daily Telegraph that the Panthers are likely to re-sign Dallin Watene-Zelezniak.

This follows news that he'll be spending a month on the sideline due to a knee injury, but according to the report, the only hold-up with inking the new deal is the smoothing out of some third-party deals.

The club is proving to have plenty of backline depth, with Tyrone Peachey, Deane Whare, Josh Mansour and Peta Hiku also on the books.

Whare and Hiku will be given a run for the final trial this weekend against Parramatta.
